In Luke chapter 24, two disciples walked with Jesus on the road to Emmaus — but they did not recognize Him. It was in the breaking of the bread that their eyes were opened to His presence. Filled with joy, they returned to Jerusalem to proclaim the Good News of His Resurrection.

The Emmaus Retreat is a spiritual walk with Jesus. A chance to step away from the noise of daily life, encounter Christ in a deeper way, and open our eyes to His presence in our lives.

Like those first disciples, retreat participants return renewed in faith and eager to share Christ’s love with others — through their families, friendships, parish ministries, service, prayer, and everyday lives.

Emmaus is more than a weekend retreat. It is an invitation to grow closer to Christ, strengthen our parish family, and live out the Gospel together.

The next Emmanuel Emmaus Retreat will be August 7-9, 2026 at the Amoris Christi Retreat Center (formerly the Duncan Center) 15820 S Military Trail. The retreat begins at 5:00 pm on Friday and ends about 3:00 pm on Sunday. The suggested donation is $250 and partially covers the cost of the retreat (including food, lodging and supplies).

To sign up for the retreat, go to our current registration page and complete the form by August 2nd.

If you’d like to sponsor an attendee or make a donation go to our sponsorship page and fill out the form.
